Pupil and Catch Up Premium

 

The Government provides Pupil Premium which is additional to main school funding.  The pupil premium grant is designed to support schools in helping disadvantaged pupils by improving their progress and the exams results they achieve when compared with their peers.

Pupil premium is calculated based on pupils who are eligible and fit the following criteria:

  • Free School Meals (FSM)/Ever 6 FSM = £995 per pupil
  • Looked after children/previously looked after = £2345 per pupil
  • Service children = £310
COVID-19 CATCH UP PREMIUM

The government announced £1billion of funding to support children and yong people to catch up lost time after school closures due to the pandemic.  This additional funding is especially important for our most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds.  Hill Top will receive £240 for each place for 2020-21, based on numbers on roll in October 2020.
