Mental Health affects many of us, there is no minimum age or an upper age limit. At some points in our lives many of us will be affected by mental health. We promote mental health awareness in school and we support our young people who may struggle during their school years.
In order to support our pupils we provide a service via Kalmer Counselling who are based in school on a weekly basis. Two of our staff our trained Mental Health and Well Being champions and provide support and assistance to pupils on site daily. Students can speak to Mr Holmes and Mrs Johnson.

Mental Health Matters are a local organisation who support in excess of 15,000 people a month. There are offices throughout the North East – for further information please take a look at their website below. Mental Health Matters supports families. The service in Gateshead is ran by Pathways and they offer a drop in service on Mondays 10am – 2pm. Should you require emergency support there is a 24 hours helpline contact number on the website.
