Last week saw our pupils being welcomed by Sainsbury’s in Washington. Children were invited to shop at Sainsburys and experience using the checkout dedicated to people who have Autism. Gary, Store Manager extended this generosity by giving each of our 12 pupils a £5 gift voucher to spend in the store on cookery items for school.

3 separate groups of children visited the store across the day. On arrival each child was met by Jas Hayer/Parent and given their very own gift card. Armed with a shopping list, they filled their baskets before making their way to  No.24 Blue Checkout with the lovely Ross the Checkout Assistant, who couldn’t do enough to help our children.
